A Rip in the Surface

Daniel Coston February 6, 2026

In Rip in the Surface, the current of the water fades into the background. A single golden leaf rests near the top plane, but beneath it the current darkens into layered blues and greens. This creates a depth that seems a bit mysterious. Some of the leaves sink and become matted while others float as rains come along and stir them up or rip them apart.
